A sportswoman herself, she has represented England in international junior tennis championships when she was studying in Queenswood Boarding School. Having finished her education from the University of Leeds where she studied Broadcast Journalism, Georgie Thompson started her career being a production assistant for GMTV.
She moved from GMTV in January 2001 to Sky Sports News and has now since covered many sports activities like the US Open Tennis Championships, A1 Grand Prix, Grand Prix Masters, Speedway World Cup, Americas Cup as well as the Race of Champions. She is additionally a keen surfer and an ardent Fullham F.C. supporter.
